PAYS, America, Inc.’s mission is:

 a.     To conduct research and to develop and disseminate educational materials concerning PAYS®, a system described in the Energy Efficiency Institute’s 1999 paper “Pay-As-You Save Energy Efficiency Products: Restructuring Energy Efficiency” and elaborated in its subsequent papers, and other innovative techniques for enabling consumers to adopt greater resource efficiency in their homes and businesses;

 b.    To provide training and technical assistance to those working to develop PAYS® and other innovative resource-efficiency programs;

 c.    To provide a means for professional interaction, problem solving, and discussion of professional issues among local groups devoted to PAYS® and other innovative resource-efficiency programs;

 d.    To provide educational programs and support for the purpose of professional development in the area of innovative resource-efficiency programs;

 e.    To provide improved access to PAYS® system information and services, including PAYS® product certification;

 f.    To assist others in demonstrations of offering PAYS® products to consumers; and

 g.     Other activities that promote use of the PAYS® approach.
